Tap & Tandoor Southampton is found in the heart of WestQuay Shopping Centre, nestled between All Bar One and Red Dog Saloon — one of Southampton's most distinctive dining spots. An award-winning Indian gastro pub that combines craft beer culture with bold, homestyle Indian cooking in a relaxed, lively atmosphere.

Open from midday seven days a week, the Southampton venue serves the full Tap & Tandoor menu: slow-cooked curries, mixed grills, small plates and cocktails with an Indian twist, alongside a frequently rotating tap list showcasing the best UK craft breweries. Live sports are shown on screen, and Monday nights are quiz nights.

A favourite pre and post-match destination, we're just a short journey from St Mary's Stadium — perfect for grabbing a craft beer and a curry before kick-off, or settling in for the post-match debrief with the full menu still running into the evening.

We welcome walk-ins whenever we have space, but we strongly recommend booking ahead — especially on Friday and Saturday evenings, Monday quiz nights, and around live sports events. Booking online takes less than two minutes and guarantees your table. You can also call us on 023 8063 8852 if you prefer.

How large a group can I book online?+

Our online booking system handles groups of up to 16 guests. For groups of 17 or more, please submit a group enquiry or call us on 023 8063 8852 and we'll arrange everything for you.

Do you do Sunday lunch?+

Yes! We put our own Tap & Tandoor twist on the classic Sunday lunch — think bold Indian flavours and sharing plates rather than the traditional roast. It's a brilliant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Booking is essential; please reserve your table before 5pm on Saturday to guarantee your spot.

Absolutely. Our menu includes dedicated vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Please mention any dietary requirements when booking or speak to your server on arrival.

Is Tap & Tandoor Halal?+

No — Tap & Tandoor is not a Halal restaurant. We serve alcohol and our meat is not Halal-certified. We do however have an extensive vegetarian and vegan menu if you'd like to dine with us.

Is the restaurant dog-friendly?+

Yes! Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the restaurant and we love having them. Please let us know when booking if you're bringing a dog and we'll do our best to accommodate you. For the comfort and safety of all our guests — including your four-legged friend — we kindly ask that you avoid visiting with dogs during peak hours (after 5pm), when the restaurant gets busier and livelier. Earlier in the day is a much more relaxed time for a dog-friendly visit!

We're in WestQuay Shopping Centre, Southampton SO15 1DE. The WestQuay multi-storey car park is adjacent. Southampton Central station is a short walk away, and on match days St Mary's Stadium is an easy journey from the city centre.
